This is the question that brought Blue Carbon Bourbon to life, and where our story begins.

It was the ocean that first brought David and Keith together on the turquoise shores of the Exumas in the Bahamas during a marine conservation trip. There we realized our shared love for the ocean and dedication to protecting it - sparking a deep and lasting friendship.

As our bond grew, we realized we both carried a dream: to create something extraordinary - a company that blended craftsmanship and purpose. For David, it meant combining his passion for philanthropy and long-standing support of ocean conservation into a meaningful legacy. For Keith, it was about honoring his Kentucky roots by crafting a bourbon that celebrated tradition while giving back to the world.

When the time was right, Keith brought in his childhood best friend, Tom, whose knowledge and passion for bourbon run as deep as Kentucky’s limestone springs. A true connoisseur, Tom has spent a lifetime exploring the artistry of bourbon - from the careful selection of grains and the char of the barrel to the subtle layers that create the perfect pour.

And so our worlds converged - Tennessee heritage, Kentucky tradition, and a shared love of the ocean - to create Blue Carbon Bourbon, a spirit built on exceptional craftsmanship and driven by purpose to connect people to the ocean.
